MIDVALE--Phyllis Sabey Jacobs, 80, our loving mom and grandma, passed away peacefully at her home October 21, 1997.

Born October 12, 1917 in West Jordan, UT to John Richard and Ida Fox Sabey. Married Russell K. Jacobs in Millington, TN April 30, 1945. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Russell preceded her in death August 14, 1996. "Phyl" was an active member of the LDS Church and served in the US Navy during World War II. She was employed at Jordan School District for many years; worked at Utah Idaho Sugar Co. and for Paramount Pictures.

She is survived by daughters, Shanna D. J. Marchant (David), New Jersey; Kaye Jacobs, Sandy; grandchildren, Troy Gardner (Monica), Bret Gardner, Ryan Gardner, David R. Marchant (Katrina), Tammy Tavlarios (Chuck), Robert Marchant, John Marchant, Jennifer Marchant, Stephen Marchant, Bradley Marchant, Shanna Kaye Marchant; great-grandchildren, Braden, Alyssa and Abbey Gardner, Megan Marchant; sister, Mary Mortensen, Idaho Falls, ID; sister-in-law, Vea Sabey, Midvale, son-in-law, Nyal Gardner. Preceded in death by daughter, Lois Jeanne Gardner; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services Saturday, October 25, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Midvale East LDS Stake Center 7570 South 240 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
