Otis Joseph Autin 95, of Highlands, Texas passed away on October 30, 2013. Otis was born on July 23, 1918 in Mermetau, Louisiana to Arthur and Emetilde (Richard) Autin.

Otis Honorably served his country in WWII and the Korean War and then retired from the U.S. Army after serving 28 years and after retiring Otis then went to work for the U.S. Postal Service . In his spare time Otis enjoyed gardening, yard work, playing solitaire, raising his flag every morning, fixing things and spending time with family and friends. Otis was a true gentleman who was very patriotic and he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rex Autin, Theodore Autin; sisters, Felicia Autin, Esther LaBlanc, Effie Autin, Laura Autin Sarver and Olita Autin Brown. Otis is survived by his loving wife, Annabelle Sarver Autin; step daughters, Patricia Caughman and husband Bill, Susan Fuller and husband Gary; step grandsons, Clint Caughman, Jeffrey Caughman, Matt Fuller; and many other relatives and friends.
