Orville Raymond Davis, 89 formerly of Stephens, MO passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in Columbia, MO. Services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Parker Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery. Raymond, as he was known to all, was born February 19, 1925 in Stephens, MO to Thomas & Tessie Winterbower Davis. Raymond married the love of his life, Opal Vaughn on September 14, 1954 and she survives. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Raymond was "Uncle Raymond" to hundreds of neighborhood children and others that he tirelessly drove to church week after week. Uncle Raymond is also survived by nieces, Vicky Schamberger and Natasha Angell; a nephew Russell Shay; sister-in-law, Velma Vemer; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ervin Davis and Henry Davis and three sisters, Ella Davis Rountree, Ruth Davis and Eva Davis.
