Age 61, of Curtis AR, died Tuesday; born in Hot Springs to Wilma Wright McGrew and Rev J D McGrew; married Georgia Winnes June 5 1971; musician and sportsman; member of the First Baptist Church of Curtis.

Survivors include wife, sons, grandson, father, a brother, two sisters, an uncle, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was born December 16, 1951 in Hot Springs to Wilma and J.D. McGrew of Glenwood.
He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, son and friend, a lover of music, nature, animals, his family and most of all, his God. He enjoyed playing his guitar, laughing and having fun, playing pocket billiards and singing with his friends at the CADC in Arkadelphia, hunting and fishing, most of all with his boys, writing and recording music, and being with family and friends. He loved to worship God in small country churches of the Assemblies of God, pastored by his parents, Rev. J. D. and Wilma McGrew, often sharing his music gifts by playing his guitar and singing. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Curtis. He adored his grandson, Cade, and looked forward to the birth of his two grandchildren in January. He enjoyed each day of his life, never met a stranger, and appreciated each moment that God gave him. He left a tremendous legacy of music, faith, love, and integrity. He married Georgia Winnes on June 5, 1971 and was a faithful and loving husband for 42 years. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia, of the home; his sons, Derek (Deanna) McGrew of Benton; Kyle (Kelly) of Arkadelphia; his grandson to whom he was known as "Poppie", Cade (Kyle and Kelly), and soon to be twin grandchildren (Derek and Deanna). He is also survived by his father, Rev. J.D. McGrew, his brother, Dr. Gary L. McGrew, his sisters, Dr. Regina Thomason (Terry) and Kina Clayton (Danny), all of Hot Springs, numerous nieces and nephews, his maternal uncle, Joe Floyd (Laquita) Wright of Glenwood and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Maj. Tim McGrew, Danny McGrew, Kenny McGrew, Eddie McGrew, Terry Thomason and Danny Clayton.
Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m. at Ruggles-Wilcox in Arkadelphia, with a celebration of his life at 2 p.m. Friday, November 1, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Bro. Temon Jenkins with internment at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Glenwood following the celebration service.
