JoAnn Cobb
JoAnn Cobb, 81, of Scott Depot, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital, Hurricane.
Born January 6, 1932, in Charleston, JoAnn was a daughter of the late Dewey and Lilly Ballengee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ruth Lee, Nina Angle, Mary Frances Ballengee and Byron Ballengee, and great-granddaughter, Maura Rae Kuhl.

JoAnn was a longtime member of Teays Valley Presbyterian Church, Scott Depot, where she was an elder and soloist in the choir. Her greatest love was her family; she loved expressing her love through cooking and caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lloyd R. Cobb; children and their spouses, Diann and Randy Hodges of Winfield, Chuck and Nancy Cobb of St. Marys, Georgia, Ray and Diane Cobb of Durham, N.C., and Ben and Tina Cobb of Hurricane; grandchildren, Sara (Eric) Whitney, Mary (Jess) Kuhl, Dave (Amy Preece) Cobb, Amanda (James) Ross, Phil (Stacey) Cobb, Ryan (Rachel) Cobb, Lindsey (Michael) Houbre, Cassie Williams, Tre Cobb, Lexi Williams, Gabi Cobb and Richie Williams; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Dewey Ballengee of Barboursville.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 31, at Teays Valley Presbyterian Church, 4122 Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot, with her son, the Rev. Ray Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Winfield Cemetery, Winfield.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chapman Funeral Home, 3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane.
