Brandi Michelle Krieghauser Jackson, 24, of Lake City, FL, died tragically on Thursday, October 31, 2013.

A native of Lake City, FL, she had lived here most of her life. She was a graduate of Ft. White High School Class of 2007, and loved basketball, working out in the gym and running. She was devoted to her children and loved being with her family. The highlight of her life was becoming a police officer with the Lake City Police Department.

Survivors: two daughters: Avah Rose Jackson (age 4) and Alivia Grace Jackson (age 2 ½), Lake City, FL; mother: Sharolyn Nichols Krieghauser (Robert White); father: Michael Krieghauser (Tara), all of Lake City, FL; two brothers: Sean Ryan Krieghauser (Jamie) and Micah Trey Krieghauser; one sister: Taran Jace Krieghauser; maternal grandparents: Leroy "Bill" and Jane Nichols; paternal grandparents: Bill and Loretta Marchant; her aunt: Mary Ann Nichols Sellers (Mike); cousins: Cameron Nichols, Laney Sellers, and Emily Krieghauser. Her second family was the Lake City Police Department.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at 11 A.M. at Christ Central Ministries with Pastor Lonnie Johns officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday, November 4, 2013, from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Christ Central Ministries.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Federal Savings where an account has been opened for her children under the name of Sharolyn Krieghauser. GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S. US Hwy 441, Lake City, FL (386-752-1954) is in charge of arrangements.

LAKE CITY, Fla. -- A Lake City police officer died from a house fire early Thursday morning, according to the Lake City Police Department.

Police and Columbia County Fire Rescue responded to the home around 1 a.m.

LCPD Officer Brandi Jackson had been with the department for 2 months and 2 weeks.
