Eunice (Jamison) Wheeler

Eunice (Jamison) Wheeler died July 6, in Des Moines, WA at the age of 97. She was born in Pipestone County, Minnesota on January 17, 1904 to John and Lona Jamison. The family moved to Sumner, WA where she was raised. As a young adult, she moved to Montesano, WA where she married Robert F. #Ted# Wheeler in 1928. He preceded her in death in 1969. In 1983, she moved to Wesley Terrace, a retirement home in Des Moines, WA. She is survived by her son, Eldridge Wheeler (Beverly) of Fircrest; daughter, Imogene Peterson (Don) of West Seattle; grandchildren, Stacy Nadeau (Brian) of Port Orchard, Paula Opheim (Randy) of Gig Harbor, Jennifer Smith (Mark) of Denver, CO, Don Peterson, Jr. (Cindy) of Seattle, Lisa Doepken (Chuck) of Pittsburgh, PA, Page Pope (Dan) of Seattle, Kathy Peterson of Seattle, plus seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Elvin Jamison, Phoebe McGandy, Hugh Jamison, and Bernice Wright. On Thursday, July 12, a memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM at Wesley Terrace in Des Moines, viewing will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Montesano, WA, and graveside services will begin at 3:30 PM at the Montesano Wynooche Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wesley Terrace, 816 S. 216th St., Des Moines, WA 98198 or Chapter U, c/o Donna Howe, PO Box 285, Montesano, WA. Pub Date: 7/11/2001
