Jessica Austin, 15, of Crestview, Fla., passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013. She was born on Dec. 2, 1997, in Montgomery, Ala., and moved to Crestview in 2001. She attended Crestview High School and Lifepoint Church.
Jessica was an avid reader, accomplished sketcher and an animal lover. She was involved in learning all aspects of the Japanese culture and language and was fluent in Spanish. Jessica was an Honor Roll Student.
Survivors include her parents, Greg Austin, Paula Artis-Austin and her companion Leni Siddiqi; a sister, Dana Austin; grandparents, Jean Austin and Bobbie Artis; aunts, Sherry Austin Haynes, Rhonda Riley, Lois Rainey, and Tabby Siddiqi; uncles, Chuck Austin, Jessie Haynes, Terry Riley, and Burl Artis; cousins, Cody Austin, Justin Austin, and Matt Sears.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2013, from Beda Baptist Church in Wing, Ala., with Rev. James Laduh Fallin officiating. Burial will follow in the Beda Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the funeral home.
