She was the daughter of the late Jasper Newton and Willie Mae Evans Goodson.
She is survived by two sons, Zane Parks and his wife Bridget; David Parks and his wife Nancy; and grandchildren, Benjamin Parks and his wife Molly, Whitney Parks, Jessica Parks Boon and her husband Ryan, Stephen Parks-Bell, Moirasheen Woodward and Tim, Meghan Petryk and her husband Ed and Gretchen Benz.Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Goodson Parks, age 89, passed away at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on March 12, 2015.

She was born in Attalla, AL, on February 1, 1926, to the late Jasper Newton and Willie Mae Evans Goodson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Dunson. Her adult life was spent in providing a nurturing home for her children and being the supportive wife of a Baptist minister. She is survived by her husband, Reverend Ralph Z. Parks Sr.

Her children are Zane Parks and his wife Bridget, and David Parks and his wife Nancy. She was the grandmother to Benjamin Parks and his wife Molly, Whitney Parks, Jessica Parks Boon and her husband Ryan, Stephen Parks-Bell, Moirasheen Woodward and Tim, Meghan Petryk and her husband Ed, and Gretchen Benz. There are 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street. The funeral service will be on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at 4 p.m. in the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Jimmy Dale Patterson and Reverend Jerry Walker officiating.

Visitation with the family will begin at 3 p.m. just prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Parks' memory may be honored by contributions to The Missions Programs at First Baptist Church or to Gideon's International. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mckoon.com .
