Eunice R. Aikman June 9, 2004

Eunice R. Aikman, 79, of Syracuse, NY, died at her home. She was born in Newton,
MA, and had resided in Syracuse 58 years. She was the widow of Dr. William O.
Aikman, who died in 1994. Eunice was a retired registered nurse, having received
her bachelor's degree from Children's Hospital, Boston, MA. She was a member of
the Women's Auxiliary of Onondaga County Medical Society and Leader Alliance
Scholarship Medical Society (Scholarships for High School Seniors' Medical
Careers).
Survivors: two sons, Horace P. Aikman, Dover, MA, and Walter M. Aikman, Auburn,
NY; two daughters, Eunice Edna Aikman, Aliso Viejo, CA, and Edna R. Aikman,
Seattle, Wash.; one brother, Albert Root, Wilmington, DE; one sister, Charlotte
Armstrong, Bradenton, FL; three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brothers, Robert and Gus Root.
Services: Thursday, June 17, 2004, 7 p.m. at the May Memorial Unitarian
Universalist Society, 3800 East Genesee St., DeWitt, NY. No calling hours.
