"This worthy man was a descendant of one of two brothers, who emigrated from England, at an early date in the history of this country. His paternal grandfather was a Baptist minister, whose wife was a Methodist. His maternal grandfather was a Methodist preacher in Asbury's times. [...]
"He was a pious, consistent Christian. Tenderness of conscience, sincerity and uncompromising integrity, were prominent traits in his Christian character."
Parks, Rev. Stephen. "Rev. James Covel, A.M." Troy Conference Miscellany, Containing a Historical Sketch of Methodism Within the Bounds of the Troy Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Albany, NY: J. Lord, 1854. 185-193.

"In 1843-4 James Covel, jr., was pastor. During his ministry another sweeping revival occurred under Mr. Moffitt. Mr. Covel fell at his post and his sepulcher is with us in old Mount Ida Cemetery."
"Dedication Exercises; Continuation of the Services at the Pawling Avenue Methodist Church—Its History Well Told—Scholarly Remarks on Methodism—The Addresses." Troy Times. May 17, 1904: 2 cols 2-4.

Buried nearby are Rev. Philetus Greene, Rev. Charles Sherman and the twin daughters of Rev. Noah Levings, Sarah Levings and Martha Ann Levings.

Seemingly the lot they're in is the"Methodist ministers' lot" described here:

"The Troy Conference Historical Society held its semi-annual meeting at Albany yesterday. Rev. Dr. T.A. Griffin, Custodian of Archives, reported that the Methodist ministers' lot in the old Mount Ida Cemetery in this city had been recently put in order at the expense of the State Street and Fifth Avenue Methodist Churches of Troy. The society returned a vote of thanks to these churches and to Dr. Griffin."
"Among the Societies." Troy Times. October 4, 1904: 5 col 3.
