Caleb loved life and enjoyed being active. He liked going over bumps in the road while riding in the car, school, and being with his family and friends. Caleb had an infectious smile and was very responsive to others when they called his name. Listening to others laugh would make Caleb join in with laughter.
Caleb is survived by his mother, Heather Heckman and her husband, Brian, of Linden, his father, Matthew Lewis (Carrie Protzman) of Sebewaing; his siblings, Kyle and Kevin Lewis, Allison and Alanna Heckman; grandparents, Mark and Mary Lewis of Unionville, Don and Eileen Bailey of Kendallville, Indiana, Stephen and Diane Davis of Peru, Illinois, Rhonda and Bill Saurbek of Jackson, James and Sue Heckman of Unionville; great-grandparents, Anna Childs of Caro, Donna and Wayne Root of Kendallville, Indiana, Priscilla Bell Lewis of Unionville.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Ellington Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ron Comfort officiating.
