Kenneth Gerald "Kenny" Garland, 66, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kenny was born on March 1, 1947 in Hoyt, Oklahoma to Otis Mitchell and Helen Marie (Shores) Garland.
The Garland family soon moved to the Tulsa area where Kenny was raised. He was a 1965 graduate of Tulsa Central High School. Mr. Garland was a salesman by trade and worked for Rexel Electrical Supplies. He was also a longtime member of the Elks Lodge 2712 Cushing-Drumright. Kenny's passion was motorcycles and he relished his time spent riding. He was able to participate in a Sturgis Rally and numerous toy and poker runs.
Surviving Kenny are his mother; two brothers; sister-in-law; two sisters; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Preceding Kenny in death were his father, Otis M. Garland; wife, Jeri Lynn Garland; son, Kenneth G. Garland; and stepson, Harold J. Morris.
Viewing and visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 31, 2013.
Services have been entrusted to Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service with a funSeeral scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Mobley-Dodson Chapel with Reverend Connie Ichord officiating.
