"Peter W. Myers passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harold Jump at Summit, where he had made his home during the past five years, on Sunday, Oct. 30, as a result of infirmities of age. Mr. Myers was a retired farmer and spent most of his life in Schoharie county. He as a kind father, devoted Christian and a member of the Baptist church of Cobleskill. In his younger days he was very active in church work. He was nearly 81 years of age having been born Nov. 5, 1846, the son of Henry Myers and Susan B. Underhill. Funeral services were held at one o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the daughter's home with Rev. George W. Myer officiating. Burial was at Sloansville. Mr. Myers is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edgar Empie, Mrs. A. B. Crowe, Mrs. Harold Jump, one brother, James Myers of Carlisle, one sister, Mrs. Philip Estes of Sloansville, and four grandchildren."
