Beverly A. Meade (nee Pennington), age 65 and a resident of Amherst, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at EMH Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Beverly as born in Oak Hill, West Virginia, to the late Walter and Leona (Barrett) Pennington. In 1970 she moved with her family from West Virginia to Ohio, residing in Amherst for the past 15 years. Beverly was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and friends. In earlier years she enjoyed camping trips.
Surviving is her husband of 47 years, Jackie M. Meade, four children, Sherron Meade of Vermillion, Sharon (Jeff) Currier of Wakeman, McRae (Jaime) Meade of Amherst, Jackie (Miralyn) Meade of Elyria, four grandchildren, and her sister Sherron (Amos) Quesenberry of West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her brother Dwayne Simmons.
Friends will be received Friday, 10 a.m. until time of service at noon at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery, Amherst.
