∼Fannie Bell (Ketterman) Whetzel, 77, of Petersburg, and formerly of Rig, died Jan. 14, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg.
Born July 10, 1926, in Bass, she was the daughter of the late George Benjamin Ketterman and Sally Virginia Bell (Parker) Ketterman. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Caroline Whetzel; three sisters, Mary Cullers, Goldie Whetzel and Virgie Mae Wilhelm; and two brothers, Cletus Ketterman and Harding "Dee" Ketterman.
She is survived by three sons, Ernest Whetzel, Old Fields, Billy Whetzel, Arthur, and Roger Whetzel, Mt. Storm; two daughters, Bonnie Smith, Rig, and Beverly Whetzel, Petersburg; two brothers, Virgil Ketterman, Arthur, and Keith Monroe Ketterman, Petersburg; 12 grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Saturday afternoon at Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel, Petersburg, with interment in Brake Cemetery, Dorcas
