CORTLAND - L. Pearlene Lyman, 75, died at 10:53 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

She was born July 22, 1935, in Murfreesboro, Tenn., the daughter of the late William Henry and Lelia Mae Shires Wilson Sr.

Pearlene retired from Trumbull Savings and Loan after 30 years of service.

Her hobbies included sewing, knitting and crotcheting, and she was an avid reader.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Thomas G. Lyman, with whom she was united in marriage on Nov. 15, 1952; her daughter, Georgette (William) Maus of Pawleys Island, S.C.; her brothers, Claud James Wilson of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Robert Lee Wilson of Nashville, Tenn.; and her sisters, Rosalee Myers of Grand Haven, Mich., and Loretta Lou Hoover of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Other than her parents, Pearlene was preceded in death by her two brothers, Steven Wilson and William Henry Wilson Jr., and one sister, Helen Mae Sutliff.

At her request, there will be no visitation or service, and cremation will take place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Sager Memorial Cemetery, Bristolville.

Material contributions are requested to be made in her memory to Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., Cortland, Ohio 44410.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
