She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild and following all their activities. She was an avid reader and loved working in her yard. Nancy previously owned a flower shop in Albany; horticulture was her passion. She was a graduate of Ball State University and finished her career as a social worker.
Survivors include daughters, Lezlie (Craig) Winter, Gas City and Robin Ladwig-Green, Anderson; grandchildren, Christen Green, Indianapolis, Jacqueline Green, Noblesville, Alex Winter, Gas City; and great-grandson, Gabriel Houghtalen, Noblesville; and a sister, Theda Villarreal, Indianapolis.
Nancy was born in Marion and was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen Smith; her brother, Jim Smith; and several aunts and uncles.
