Gene Thomas Morris, 57, passed away Tuesday, October 29th at his home in Shelby County. He had been employed at Soundtronics in Shelbyville and had done furnace work. He was a member of Shelby Christian Church and was a captain with the Shelby County Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Thomas Morris. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica McCullough(Michael) of Shelbyville; his mother, Juanita Morris of Shelbyville; his sisters, Rhonda Byrnside and Sharon Mills, both of Shelbyville; 6 grandchildren, Cheyenne McCullough, Matthew McCullough, Nicholas McCullough, Tyler McAllister, Zachary Morris, and Johnathan McCullough; and his uncle, Garnett Moffett of Louisville.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Friday, November l, 2013 at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation: 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial: Grove Hill Cemetery.
