Mrs. Juanita Parrish Gilchrist, 83, of Reid Road, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, October 28, 2013 at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kernersville.

She was born June 9, 1930 in Durham County. Daughter of the late Mack Ruffin Parrish and Rossie Stephenson Parrish.

She retired from Western Electric after 37 years of employment and was a charter member of Berean Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her previous husband Robert Leo ‘Rob‘ Redmon in 1970 and also was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Mrs. Gilchrist is survived by her husband of 39 years, William ‘Al' Gilchrist of the home; daughter, Ann Pratt and husband Bob of Winston-Salem; son, David Redmon of Winston Salem and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Berean Baptist Church, 4135 Thomasville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107. Mrs. Gilchrist will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Clemmons, NC.
