Jack was a major league baseball player from 1903-1908 playing for for the Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Superbas in 1903, and remaining with Brooklyn until he completed his major league career in 1908 with the Cincinnati Reds. In additon to his major league stint, he played eight seasons of professional baseball at the minor league level, finhing his career in 1914 with Atlanta in the Southern Association.
