Robert Womack
Robert Womack, 74, of Lima, Ohio, former Amherst resident, died Dec. 1 at his home.
Born in Madison, Fla., he lived in Amherst most of his life, moving to Lima nine years ago.
He was employed in construction work in the Amherst area and also worked at the Lorain Creamery as a home milk deliverer. He later worked as a barber.
He was a member of American Legion Post 118 and a life member of he Disabled American Veterans in new Port Richey, Fla., and the "Order of Trench Rats," an honor group of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Anita [nee Monahan]; daughters Sharon Nicholls of Lorain, Diana Leversee of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Margie Buctiner of Lima; four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Nicholls; his parents, Le Richard and Mildred [nee Ormsby]; and a brother, Richard.
Services were Dec. 5 at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ileana Castillo-Roman, pastor of the Congregational United Church of Christ, Amherst, officiating.
Burial was in Crownhill Cemetery where the Amherst Veterans Military Honor Guard conducted full military honors.
Memorial gifts may be made to St. Rita Congestive Heart Failure Clinic, Lima, or to St. Rita Hospice, Lima.
