Juanita Alberta Farmer Spriggs (Carter) Allison (1932-2013)

Lorain-Juanita Alberta Farmer Spriggs Allison (nee Carter), age 80, and a resident of Lorain, died after along-time illness on Saturday, march 23, 2013, at her home which she made with her daughter Brenda, in Lorain.
Juanita was born December 31, 1932 in Portsmouth to the late Samuel and Florence (nee Collins) Carter and has been a resident of Lorain County for the past 58 years. Raised by her parents in the Baptist faith, she loved attending church services throughout her life.
Juanita was formerly employed at the Aqua Marine Hotel, Avon Lake, in the housekeeping department and had also been formerly employed at Ramco Cleaning Company during the mid 1980's.
During her lifetime, Juanita loved singing and dancing, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include sons, Kenneth E. and Bobby Ray (Darlene) Farmer, both of Kentucky, Larry Lee Spriggs of North Carolina, Randy (Pat) Farmer of North Olmsted, daughters Gay (Mark) Law of Elyria, Brenda Rundell of Lorain, Janette Spriggs of Lorain, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and her sister Hazel Cantu of Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husbands Bobby Farmer, Millard Spriggs, and Clarence Allison, brothers Earl Carter, Arvel, Walter, and Lee Roy "Toots" Munion, sisters, Opal and Dorothy Carver, Genevieve Moore, Garnet Carter, and Dalena Munion.
Family will received friends Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst. The funeral service will be 11 am. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor James Monday officiating.
Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery, Amherst.
