James Michael Gunnoe

James Michael Gunnoe, 50 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio following a short illness.

He was born October 3, 1957 in Lorain, Ohio where he was raised and was a lifetime resident. James attended Amherst High School. James was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Elyria. His hobbies included playing chess, bingo, hunting, fishing, reading and watching Star Trek.

Survivors include his father James Newton Gunnoe of Lorain; his sisters Kathy Campana and Michelle Lawson, both of Amherst, Sandra Gunnoe of Westlake, and Stephanie Gunnoe of Lorain; four nieces, one nephew; and one great niece. He was preceded in death by his mother Emma Jean Gunnoe (nee; Anderson) on September 22, 1999.

Friends may call Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 5 - 9 p.m at Midway Baptist Church; 41812 Griswold Road, Elyria. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. from Midway Baptist Church in Elyria. The Rev. Charles Keesee, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Midway Baptist Church, 41812 Griswold Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
