J. B. Phillips, 58, died at his home at Jacob's Creek, Bristol, Tenn., RFD 4, Friday morning after a short illness.

He is survived by his widow, two sons, Wiley of West Virginia and Elbert of Jacob's Creek; six daughters, Mrs. Glenn Arnold, Misses Ruth, Ethel, Edna, Odlean and Grace of Jacob's Creek; four brothers: Walter of Bristol, BiH of Rutherton, Eli of Iowa, and John of Jacob's Creek; three sisters: Mrs. W. M. Taylor , Mrs. D. M. Stewart, and Mrs. Roy Bland of Jacob's Creek.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the residence with the Rev. John Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery.

Pallbearers: B. O. Rogers, Simon Rutherford, Bradley Rush, Forrest Kitzmiller, Dave Steward, and Hugh Wyatt.

Flower bearers will be selected from his friends and neighbors.
