He died Jan. 15 at Willow Gardens Care Center, Marion, following a lengthy illness.
He was born the son of Richard H. and Winifred Wright Lowe on March 13, 1905 at Baldwin.
On July 1, 1936 at Morrison, Ill., he was married to Mildred N. Huey.
For many years, he was a farmer in the Linn County area and worked as a laborer at Wilson Company, until retiring in 1970.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marion.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Barbara Hayes of Schaumburg, Ill. and Betty Burns of Guthrie Center, Iowa; three grandchildren; a brother, David Lowe of LaVerne, Calif.; and three sisters, Joyce Wylie, Elinore Cunningham and Millicent Culber, all of Los Angeles, Calif.
A memorial fund has been established.
