He was born June 23, 1927, in Onekama, the son of the late Walter and Edith (Weir) Bradford. He was united in marriage to Dolores Crandall on March 31, 1951.
He was retired, having worked at Packaging Corporation of America — Filer Mill for 38 years. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Onekama.
Irving is survived by his wife, Dolores; son and daughter-in-law, Irving (Alisa) Bradford Jr. of Lake City; daughters and sons-in-law: Christy (Jim) Skiera of Lake City, Faye (Ed) Diekow of Onekama, Connie (Roger) Greiner of Lake City, and Penny Gilmore of Bear Lake; grandchildren: Irving Bradford III, Jordan Bradford, Roger D. Greiner, Teresa (Mike) Greiner, Brenda (Larry) McLeod and Ed Diekow; and by numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Lyle (Marinan) Bradford of Grawn; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Walter, Wayne, Orville and Floyd Bradford; six sisters: Lenore Silk, Agnes Bentoske, Floris Jepsen, Mamie Anderson, Lois Johnson, Dorothy Migliazzo and Edith Medford; and by a special friend and caregiver, Dallas Eddy.
Memorial services will be held Friday, November 1, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Manistee. Final interment will be in the Mennonite Cemetery in Brown Township.
