Evelyn Gibbs Carter TIMMONSVILLE - Evelyn Gibbs Carter, 91, died suddenly Monday, October 28, 2013 at her residence. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 in the Cemetery at Sardis Baptist Church. The family will speak to visitors after the service. Mrs. Carter was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Benjamin Grady and Bessie Dickerson Gibbs. Surviving are five daughters, Dianne Carter, Carolyn (Billy) Rhodes, Barbara (Steve) Berry, Ginger (Buddy) Herring all of Timmonsville, Brenda Wilkes, Florence; a sister, Lois Ford, Florence; six grandchildren, and seven great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Grady, David and Roy Gibbs, a sister, Janie Mae Boyce and a grandson, Kevin Watford. The family will receive visitors and friends at other times at the home of Barbara Berry, 2751 S. Cartersville Hwy, Timmonsville from 6 to 8 on Tuesday.
