MACON: Dicie Carilee Jacobs Hamilton, 74, of Ocmulgee East Boulevard, died Sunday, October 27, 2013, at a local nursing home. The family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00pm, Tuesday at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, October 30, 2013, in the sanctuary of Calvary Baptist Church with interment at 5:00pm, at Spring Hill Cemetery in Hoboken, Georgia. Rev. Danny Mundy will officiate the services in Gray and Elder Don Hamilton will officiate services in Hoboken.
Mrs. Hamilton was born April 15, 1939, in Hoboken and had lived in the Middle Georgia area for the past twenty-two years. She was the daughter of the late Will Jacobs and Ethel Sapp Jacobs. Before retiring, Mrs. Hamilton was a Certified Nursing Assistant for Lynn Haven Nursing Home and she was preceded in death by two sons: Cliff Hamilton and Clay Hamilton.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Chad Hamilton at 129 Stewart Farm Road in Jones County.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Lynn Haven Nursing Home Resident's Fund, 747 Monticello Highway, Gray, Georgia 31032.
