Donald Arthur Francey passed away on Monday at his home. Mr. Francey was born in Syracuse to Arthur James Francey, Jr. and Elizabeth Jane Sehl. Mr. Francey was employed for 34 years by Bristol Myers Squibb Company. In retirement he drove bus part time for the Central New York Regional Transportation Authority (Centro) and a local limousine service. He was a member of Pompey Rod and Gun Club. Mr. Francey is survived by his mother, Elizabeth; his beloved wife, Mary; his sons, Donald A. Francey (Christine), Richard Knight (Jannette); daughters, Nadine M. Francey, Miranda L. Haskell (Will), Wendy Knight; three sisters, Susan Jakubowski (Jeffrey), Marybeth Hamblin (Randy), Anne Nowakowski (Wayne); eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his dog, Molly. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:30 a.m. at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 3111 James St. The Family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Central New York. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue or to Hospice of CNY.
