MRS. CHARLES V. GARRISON

Mrs. Rossie Shough Garrison, 85 years, widow of Charles V. Garrison of Waynesburg died Thursday, July 13, 1961, in the Fairhaven Convalescent and Nursing Home, East McKeesport. She had suffered a fractured hip in a fall in her home on South Morris street in February. Mrs. Garrison had been hospitalized since that time. She was a daughter of George W. and Jane Gidley Shough, and was born January 3, 1876, in Gilmore Township. Her husband died December 8, 1951. Mrs. Garrison had resided in Waynesburg 36 years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church in Gilmore Township, but attended First Methodist Church in Waynesburg. She was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service and the Worthwhile Bible Class. She was also a member and past president of the Daughters of the Grand Army of the Republic. Surviving are one daughter, Mary, wife of J. Patrick Ely of McKeesport; three grandchildren; two brothers, Lot B. Shough of Aleppo, and Howard H. Shough of Garrison. One son, James L. Garrison; one sister, and eight brothers, are deceased.
