Eric H. Taylor, 60, of Cheyenne died Friday, Feb. 10, 1995 in Cheyenne. He was the son of Andrew and Harriet Taylor. He lived in Basin for some time, and graduated from Douglas High School in 1952, received his AA degree at South West Baptist College in Bolevar, Mo., in 1954 and received his BA in Greek (theology) at William Jewel College in Liberty, Mo. in 1956. He also received a BA in math and education from the University of Northern Colorado and the University of Wyoming. He married A. Kathryn Craig in Liberty, Mo. in 1956 and pastored at Mount Herman Baptist Church until 1958, when he returned to Wyoming. He started his teaching career in Douglas, then moved to Cheyenne where he taught at Rossman Elementary School, Cole Elementary School and Carey Junior High. In 1975, he started working for the Wyoming Highway Department. He left Wyoming for a few years to live in Hillboro, Ore., but returned to the state in 1991 and again worked for the Dept. of Transportation. He is survived by one son, Eric Craig of Ellensville, N.Y.; one daughter, Erica Hodges of Las Vegas; one brother, Matthew Taylor of Douglas; three sisters, Dorothy Hollis of Glenrock, Dolly Thompson and Rose Taylor, both of Douglas; step-mother, Kathryn Taylor of Douglas; and two grandchildren, Tiffany and Christopher Hodges. He was preceded in death by his parents.
