Arthur was a Syracuse mounted park policeman, a bus driver and manager of the Syracuse-Eastern Bus Terminal before taking a 5 year lease on the Victory Tavern on US 11 in Lafayette, NY. After the lease ended He along with his wife Emily purchased a Restaurant in Fabius, NY which they named Art & Em's Tavern.
