STUART, Iowa — Bonnie L. Peters, 72, of Stuart, Iowa, formerly of Davenport, passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at the Community Care Center in Stuart. Celebration of life services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport, where her family will greet friends 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Handicapped Development Center.

Bonnie was born in 1941 in Muscatine to William C. and Dorothy Peters. She had been employed at the Handicapped Development Center work program for many years.

She participated in the Iowa Special Olympics and was an active bowler, placing first in the state tournament.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Walker, Stuart; her cousins, Martha Jobst, Earham, Iowa, and Joann Davis, Cedar Rapids, and their families; other cousins also survive.

Her stepfather, Samuel Walker, and grandparents preceded her in death.
