Dorothy C. (Dittmann) Mendicki, 92, of Frontenac, passed away at 2:12 a.m. Sunday, October 27, 2013 at her home.

She was born June 22, 1921 at Frontenac, the daughter of John F. "Fred" and Mary C. (Coillot) Dittmann.

She attended Frontenac schools and graduated from Frontenac High School.

On August 3, 1946, she was united in marriage to Scipione J. "Sib" Mendicki at Arma, Kansas.

From 1946 to 1980, she and her husband lived in Joplin, before moving back to Frontenac.

Mrs. Mendicki worked for Decker Insurance Company and was a part-time Sales Clerk for Macy's, in addition to being a housewife.

Membership was held in the Frontenac United Methodist Church, Pinochle Club, A.A.R.P. and American Legion Auxiliary #43.

She and Mr. Mendiciki enjoyed traveling and taking cruises.

In addition to her husband, Sib, she is survived by a daughter, Sharon K. Feagan of Carthage, Missouri; two grandchildren, Aaron and Troy Feagan; two great grandchildren, Sean and Sage; and a brother, Robert Dittmann of Pittsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Steven Mendicki, a brother, Jacob Dittmann and a sister, Margie Jackson.
