Mrs. Oristene Potts, age 86, of Colbert, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013 in Denison, Texas.

Oristene was born on May 7, 1927 in McKinney, Texas to William Dewey Hartline and Georgia Estelle Orlds.

She married Floyd Potts on December 23,1947 in Sherman, Tx, who preceded her in death in 1993.

Oristene is a lifetime resident of Colbert and graduated from Colbert High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Ester Sunday School Class in Colbert.

She loved reading, watching sports on TV, Word Search and dearly loved her family and very proud of her Grand-kids and Great-grand- kids. Oristene loved to meet up with her friends and visit with them & stayed busy & active in the community. She was also a great seamstress. She was loved by all.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, daughter Jan Chandler, her parents, William Dewey & Georgia Estelle Hartline, brothers, Calvin, Rodger, Bo & William Hartline. Also 2 sisters, Joyce Potts and Tressie Doris.

She is survived by children, Son, Glen Dean Potts & wife Melba; Son, Joye Potts; Son, Tony Potts & wife Linna; Daughter, Susie Busbey & husband Billy; Son-in-law, Don Chandler. Her sisters are Betty Ruth Chisom and Mary Lou Shields and husband D.F. Shields, all from Colbert.

Oristene is survived by 12 grandchildren, Renee Murray, Misty Crabtree, Deanna Crabtree, James Potts, Trista Wynn, Jennifer Paddock, Sarah Cummins, Rebecca Harris, Joseph Chandler, Stacy Epps, Jason Busbey & Kathy Busbey. She has 22 Great-grandchildren.

Services for Oristene will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. Graveside at the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, with Rev. Roddy Arnold officiating.

Interment will follow at the Garden of Memory in Colbert.

Oristene's body will lie in state at the American Funeral Home at 107 N. Burney St. in Colbert on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. All friends and relatives are welcome during that time.
