He was born Dec. 9, 1925 in Grand Forks to the late William Howard and Nellie May (Dryden) Bryson. He was a Navy Seaman 1st Class Veteran of World War II. He retired from J.R. Industries, Detroit, Mich. after working there in maintenance for many years.
He at one time owned and operated ABC Mobile Gas and Service Station in Donaldson. His wife, Mavis Ann (Simmons) Bryson preceded him in death. One daughter, Debra Jean, one son, Robert Arthur, and one brother, Lester also preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons: William Howard (Karen) Bryson, Sadieville, Ky.; Claude Leo (Patricia) Bryson, Everett, Wash.; and Ronald Arthur (Gina) Bryson, West Haven, Utah; one sister, Lucille Skyberg, Davenport, Iowa; five grandchildren: Randy (Rose) Bryson, Bellingham, Wash.; Penny Bryson, Everett, Wash.; Jody (Neil) Paris, BeaverCreek, Ohio; Tina Bryson, Honolulu, Hawaii; and Michael Bryson, West Haven, Utah.
Services will be Saturday, Oct. 15, 11 a.m. at St. Olaf’s Lutheran Church, Donaldson, with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Arrangements have been made by Adamson-Austin-Hughes Funeral Home, Hallock.
