He was born June 30, 1932, the son of Charles and Irene Strong Beal. A resident of Burrton, he was a retired Missouri-Pacific Railroad employee.
Survivors include: a son, Randall Beal, Burrton; two daughters, Judy Elmore, Burrton, and Bonnie Chestnut, Hutchinson; a sister, Vera Mae Davis, Mount Hope; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Chronister.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mount Hope Cemetery, with Pastor Daniel Ensz presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Wulf-Ast Mortuary, Mount Hope. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Mount Hope Nursing Home, in care of the mortuary.
