Alvin W. Rosen, 70, husband of Billie M. Rosen of 245 Humbert Road, passed away early Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Loyalton of Staunton.
Mr. Rosen was born November 29, 1936, in New Hope, the son of the late Ollie Wilson and Ollie Mae Caricofe Rosen.
He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, the former owner of M & S Auto Parts in Elkton, former owner of Gateway Auto Parts in Waynesboro, and bus driver for the Augusta County Public School System.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Curt Rosen of Fairfax; two daughters, Jennifer Strother and her husband, Jim, of Crimora, and Beth Rosen of New Hope; a sister, Barbara Arndt of Waynesboro; and one grandson, Daniel Strother.
Following cremation and a private family burial, a memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2007, at New Hope United Methodist Church, with the Reverends R. Douglas Gunsalus and Don Gibson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 3, New Hope, VA 22469, or AMC Hospice P.O. Box 215, Fishersville, VA 22939.
The Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service is serving the family.
