Mary E. Funk, 76, Lebanon, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013, at her residence. She was the wife of Robert P. Funk, whom she married October 26, 1956. She was born in Lebanon on April 18, 1937, a daughter of the late Ernest J. and Nora B. Bressler Boyer.
She was a retired seamstress, having worked mostly at Milsan Mills, Lebanon. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle, Lebanon. Mary enjoyed sewing and being a wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband she is survived by sons, Robert P. Jr., husband of Linda Funk, Lebanon; Ronald P., husband of Donna Funk, Lebanon; Richard P., husband of Mary Anne Funk, Lebanon; 12 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Marlin, husband of Marilyn Moyer, Palmyra; Kenneth, husband of Naomi Boyer, Lebanon; sisters, Nancy, wife of Milton Krieser, Lebanon and Elaine Spickler, Duncansville. She was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest J. Boyer, Jr., Carl Boyer, Charles Boyer, Richard Boyer and sister, Adelene Boyer.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mary's funeral services on Wednesday. October 30, 2013 at 10 AM from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Drive, (next to Quentin Circle), Lebanon, with Pastor Rowland Foster officiating. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery
