Connie M. Smith, 73, of East Wenatchee died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 18, 2013. Connie was born to George and Clella Leland on July 1, 1940 in Bozeman MT. Connie married David Smith in Wenatchee on February 11, 1958 and raised three children. Connie worked as a cocktail server and bartender at various Wenatchee area establishments. Connie always had a great love for animals and in later years developed an equal love for rocks. Connie would take long walks by the Columbia River, picking up rocks that caught her eye. Anyone who has visited the house has witnessed firsthand her large rock collection.

Connie is survived by her husband, Dave; her children, Theresa Smith, Doug (and Debbie) Smith, Christy Smith, adopted sons (and grandsons), Chase and Devon Taylor; and nephew, Nick Hayes. Connie is also survived by grand-daughters, Cinjoe Hall and Chasity Barber; grandson, Jimmy Barber; great-grandson, Clayton Stanich, great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Barber and Jazmin Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday, October 25, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Telford's Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee.
