Democratic mayor of New Britain three times in the 1920's . Died at Ft Lauderdale Florida July 8, 1849. Angelo served as councilman on the old Sixth Ward in 1911. Angelo also served on the board of finance and taxation as well as being a director for the New Britain motor sales corp. Angelo was an "Honorary Diasbled American Veteran because of his friendship to WWI servicemen. In 1930 he was named as local chairman of the garage and gasoline filling station division in the drive for members of the association against the Prohibition Amendment. Later that year he was nominated on the democratic ticket for Sheriff of Hartford County. He was also appointed as a factory inspector for the state labor department under Governor Wilbur L Cross. In 1935 Angelo was elected president of the New Britain Italian Social Democratic Club. In 1936 Angelo served under Mayor Quigley on the finance board as commissioner. Angelo was owner of the Hathaway Inn and had several real estate interests in the area.
