Thelma Irene (Ridenour) Tinnell was born February 26, 1921 in Page County near Braddyville, Iowa, and passed from this life Friday, October 25, 2013 at 92 years of age. Her parents were Charles Wesley Ridenour and Cora Woldruff Ridenour. She was the youngest of nine children.
She was united in marriage to Clair Wesley Tinnell on February 5, 1940 in Thedford, NE and two children, Harry Roger and Mary Rebecca blessed this union.
Thelma and her parents moved to Nebraska when she was 3 years old. She received her early education in country school before moving to Seneca, NE where she attended high school graduating in 1939. In 1947, Thelma heard the gospel in the Sand Hills of Nebraska. She enjoyed quilting and genealogy of her family.
Those relatives who preceded Thelma in death were her parents; husband, Clair Wesley Tinnell; brothers, Gilbert Ridenour, Floyd Ridenour and Oral Ridenour, Raymond Ridenour; sisters, Blanche Sandoz, Lola Macumber and Fern Eveland and Viola in infancy; daughter in law, Janiece Tinnell and son in law, Pete Peterson.
Thelma leaves to cherish her memory; son, Harry (Margaret) Tinnell of Ogallala, NE; daughter, Rebecca (Rich Headrick) Peterson of Osceola, IA; grandchildren, Jeff (Misty) Tinnell of Salmon, ID; Janette (Clyde) Williams of Dannebrog, NE; Jerrold (Linda) Tinnell of Chapman, NE; Scott Peterson of Osceola, IA; James (Sheila) Tinnell of Grand Island, NE; and Ricky Headrick as well as thirteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchild and many other relatives and friends.
