Stephanie L. Moon, age 50, of Wellston, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011, at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born November 16, 1960 in Wellston, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lawrence Ousley, Jr. and Mary Alice O'Leary Ousley.

Stephanie was a 1979 graduate of Jackson High School and was also a graduate of the Career Beauty School in Chillicothe, where she became a licensed cosmetologist. She was employed by the Wellston City School District as a librarian at Bundy Elementary. She was actively involved in the Wellston community where she was a member and Treasurer of the Wellston Ohillco Society and Coal Festival, as well as serving as the chaperone of the Coal Festival queen and court. She was the advisor of the Jackson County Livestock 4-H group and served as the president of the Bundy P.T.O.

Stephanie is survived by her husband of 27 years, Walter S. Moon, Jr.; children, Josh Moon (Sara) of Coalton, Brenna Moon of Wellston and Brandon Moon of Wellston; grandchildren, Brenton and Emma Moon; brother, Eric Ousley (Tracy) of Jackson; sisters, Sally Ousley of Jackson, Ann Hodge (Dennis) of Jackson, Stacey Sharp (Bart Posey) of Waverly, Amy Ousley of Oak Hill and Mary Jane Ousley of Wellston; mother-in-law, Gladys Moon of Jackson; brother-in-law, Kenny Moon (Michelle) of Jackson; sister-in-law, Sarah Cox (Ed) of Rio Grande, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Beth Ann Ousley and brother, Brent Ousley; grandparents, Charles "Mike" and Dorothy O'Leary and Lawrence and Anastasia Ousley; and father-in-law, Walter Moon, Sr.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Herman officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
