Stacey (Lane) Bailey, 34, of Des Moines died Friday, October 25, 2013, of complications of breast cancer. Stacey was born March 1, 1979 in Des Moines. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and William Penn University. She worked as an Associate Buyer for Carson Pirie Scott in Milwaukee, WI before returning to Des Moines to be near family and work as Assistant Manager for The Limited. Stacey loved her work and remained a hardworking employee even throughout her illness. When not working , she enjoyed scuba diving and maintaining close relationships with her family and friends. She was a strong woman who never complained as she struggled with cancer. She will be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Survivors include her husband of three years, Matt Bailey of Des Moines; father, Ralph (Katie) Lane, Jr. of Altoona; mother, Cindy (Mark) Chappelle of Des Moines; sister, Tami (Brad) Goldman of Des Moines and their children, Sam and Kate; and grandparents, Marion and Edna Coughennower. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Pat Lane, Sr.
