Adam Walter Benning passed away peacefully on October 23, 2013, at the age of 95. Mr. Benning served 22 years in the U.S. Navy and 21 years as a civil service worker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Martha M. Benning of Chesapeake; daughter, Patricia Mitchell, and granddaughter, Jessica Mitchell, both of Gloucester.
A service will be held Saturday, October 26, at 11am with visitation 1 hour prior at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.woodlawngroup.com.
