John Gottlieb Neidlinger was a Revolutionary Soldier. His rank was sergrant in the Jenkins Davis Effingham Company Militia. His Warrant No. was 1368. On 19 Aug. 1781 he received a Land Bounty of 250 acres of land as an immigrant soldier. He was Justice of the Peace 28 Mar. 1783, Magistrate of Court Effingham County, Clerk Superior Court 1790, Clerk Superior and Inferior Court 1791, Commissioner Effingham County Academy 1796.

His wife was Hannah Dasher, who was a widow, when she married John Gottlieb Neidlinger in about 1782... She was the widow of Daniel Zettler.

Hannah Dasher was born about 1765 and died after 1820. She was the daughter of Martin and Ursula Dasher.
