George Dewey Baxley, age 61 of Caryville, FL died Sep 9, 2008 as the result of an automobile accident on River Road in Caryville. He served in the US Army until his retirement. He was the son of the late Roy Baxley and the late Nita (Johnson) Baxley.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Williams) Baxley; 2 daughters, Michelle Land of Alford, FL and Sabrina Lee of Ponce de Leon, FL; 2 sisters, Frances Morgan of Niceville, FL and Carolyn McMullins of Pensacola, FL; and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Sims Funeral Home Chapel on Sep 14, 2008 with a military chaplain officiating. Interment followed in the Westville Cemetery with full military honors provided by Ft. Rucker. Arrangements were handled by Sims Funeral Home of Bonifay, FL.
