FRANCIS P. HODEL
Francis Patrick Hodel, 76, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Vincent M. McNally, 509 Linden Street. A native of Cumberland, he was the son of the late William Henri and Barbara (McMahon) Hodel. He was a retired messenger for the B&O Railroad and was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Sarah (Luteman) Hodel. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Third Order of St. Francis and at one time was a well-known tenor and sang at many church and minstrel gatherings. Besides his daughter with whom he resided, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Frank C. Daum, city; two sons Robert F. Hodel, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and John W. Hodel, Oldtown; two sisters, Mrs. Isaac M. Burns, New York; and Mrs. George Zapf, city; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body is at the Stein Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p. m. and tomorrow. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 9 a. m. in SS. Peter and Paul Church with interment in the parish cemetery. Rosary will be recited in the funeral home tomorrow at 8 p. m.

A requiem mass for Francis P. Hodel, 76, who died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Vincent M. McNally, 509 Linden Street, will. be celebrated at 9 a. m. tomorrow in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p. m. today in the Stein Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p. m, today. Pallbearers will be Roy Craze, Donald Shrout, John Leasure, Joseph Madden, Theodore Shaw and Donald Robinette.
