Genevieve Nelda Miller Gadd, died February 23, 1999.

She was born September 11, 1912 in Fillmore, Utah, to Alva Eugene and Maude Miller. She married George Alden Gadd on December 10, 1930. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 4, 1947. She was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed teaching classes and serving in many capacities. She was Relief Society President, 1st councilor, and for over 15 years, gave the Spiritual Living lesson in Relief Society, taught cultural refinement and visiting teacher message classes. She served as president, activity councilor and class leader in the MIA. Taught classes in MIA, Sunday School and Primary. She was stake Jr. Girl and stake MIA secretary. She was a long-time member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She served as Relief Society president in the Maroni Indian Branch for 7 1/2 years, as she would put it, "With my beloved Lamanite sisters and their families."

She is survived by her husband, George; son, George Earl Gadd (Pat), of South Jordan; daughter, Donna Jean Basta, of Murray; sisters, Barbara Franks (Harold B.), Kearns; and Dahrl Quayle, of Ferrin; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchldren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Eugene Miller and sister, Jewel Deakin.

Funeral services Saturday, February 27, 11 a.m., at the Copperton LDS Church. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Friday 6-8 p.m. and at the Copperton Church one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Gordon and Jackie Bodily who have been very special and caring friends and neighbors. Also a special thanks to all the nurses and aides at South Valley Health Care Center who gave such loving care to Mom.
